“Remember the Alamo!”

“Remember the Alamo!” was the battle-cry of the forces led by Sam Houston in the Battle of San Jacinto that lead to Texas independence from Mexico in 1836. San Jacinto battle was a month after the Battle of the Alamo where Texans were severely defeated by Mexican forces.

We enjoyed touring the Alamo and surrounding grounds.

We spent a week in Castroville at the Alsatian RV & Golf Resort, about 20 minutes outside of San Antonio. We had fun in the town of Castroville and at the Alsation Resort.

We Are now fans of San Antonio and the Riverwalk. What a great town!

Pearl District is a funky little section we liked. The Hotel Emma is well worth a visit.

Out in the hills surrounding Castroville, we found some new four legged friends.
