We spent a week in Grand Tetons National Park at the Gros Ventre ( French for Big Belly, after an American Native tribe) campground. The campground was a great location to explore the Tetons and Jackson Hole. It backs up to the Gros Ventre River where you might be able to catch a trout fly fishing or if you are even more lucky you might encounter a moose or two. We had the good luck of the latter.
We love, love, love the town of Jackson, except for the traffic. The feel is definitely western with wooden sidewalks, folks dressed out in western wear and wild game on the menus.
We hiked and hiked (our feet are not looking so good), had campfires, shot the Milky Way – what a starry sky, took the Jackson Hole gondola up the ski mountain, and enjoyed every minute.
The forest fire smoke set in after a few days, but not before I got a few shots, as you will see below.
Oh yea, I fell in love with the Bison (formal) /Buffalos (informal). The Bison is my new favorite animal. At one point I was nearly surrounded by a herd of around 200 while in the Jeep as the herd crossed Mormon Rd., the road I was traveling in search of what else? Yep, Buffalo. What an awesome experience.
Cheers from the Cowboy State,
Brian and Betty

Oh My God Betty, this series of pictures is absolutely fantastic!! I truly believe they are your best yet. Your photography continues to improve incredibly. All of us are so blessed being able to see the full beauty of that which you and Brian do via the lens of your camera and your ability to capture the perfect picture.
Each one of the pictures in itself is wonderful. I have to say that my most favorite is the night shot of the barn and Milky Way. That image is mind blowing. You captured the perfect picture that shows the significance of how βsmallβ we are in the universe. It is very thought provoking as it pulls you in. It is show worthy and should be displayed. Heck, all of them could be in an exhibit. You may have found a new career. As much as we miss you guys around here, you can keep following your road adventures; as long as you keep us all posted via you lens and eye. Thank you ππ»ππ»π
