We started and ended our trip in Savannah, a city we enjoy each and every visit.

South Carolina Lowcountry is the eastern, southern part of the Palmetto State lying mostly at or below sea level. Lowcountry also refers to the unique cultures and cuisine of the region. The area is home to salt marshes, costal waterways and abundant wildlife. It’s a photographer’s dream for sure.

After Savannah we spent time in Beaufort, SC where we took a historical tour, visited the Cypress Wetlands and Hunting Island State Park. We had a nice visit and photo shoot with friends Karen & Gerry.

Next we visited our friends Michael and Sharon at their lovely new home on Hilton Head Island, SC, another favorite place spending time with dear friends. Of course we made time to play pickleball and enjoy dinner at Hudson’s Seafood.

Between visiting and touring, we searched for a home. We are delighted to have found a place on Dataw Island. To top it off, and fill it with joy, we located a cockapoo puppy that we will bring home very soon.

Many thanks to our amazing and determined realtor/friend, Lynn and to our puppy consultants, Karen & Gerry. It was an exciting week that filled our hearts with joy.
