In May we made a return trip to Blackbird Caye in Belize with good friends John and Lisa. Blackbird Caye is a two hour ferry ride from Belize City. Don’t miss the ferry because there is only one per week.

At Blackbird Caye Resort the agenda for each day is simple:

1. Eat breakfast
2. Dive #1
3. Return to Blackbird resort for snack
4. Dive #2
5. Return to Blackbird Resort for lunch
6. Dive #3
7. Return to Blackbird Resort for relaxation and dinner
8. Repeat

The dive crew at Blackbird Caye did a fantastic job and the kitchen crew delivered non-stop meals that pleased each time.

Mid-week the kitchen crew packs up BBQ fixings and heads out with the divers for a day of diving, including the Blue Hole for some, and then BBQ lunch on Half Moon Caye. Following lunch we hiked to the lookout tower where you can see red footed boobies and frigates puffing up their red chest to attract mates. This is an all day excursion and a highlight of the week.
